Do you take insurance?

I am a private pay provider, and I do not take insurance at this time. I can provide monthly superbills for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement for out-of-network psychotherapy, if available, based on your plan and deductible. Please check with your insurance provider to understand if you qualify for out-of-network services with a LPCC, and what percentage or dollar amount will be reimbursed.

Please note that Medicaid clients are prohibited for paying for psychotherapy in Colorado. As such, I unfortunately cannot work with Medicaid clients at this time.

Do you offer telehealth sessions?

Yes, I offer telehealth therapy for clients who reside in Colorado.

Do you offer in-person sessions?

Yes, I offer in-person sessions in the Highlands area of Denver, CO.

Do you offer short or long-term therapy?

Therapy is most effective when conducted on an ongoing and consistent basis. I recommend sessions on a bi-monthly or weekly basis. If you are experiencing a crisis, sudden loss, or significant life change, then short-term therapy can be helpful to assist you through a challenging time.

Do you offer consultations?

Yes, I offer prospective clients a free 20-minute phone consultation to see if we are a good fit.

Pre-intake paperwork

After our consult call, you will receive an email with pre-intake paperwork. This paperwork includes consent forms to read and sign, payment information, and questionnaires about yourself. You must complete this pre-intake paperwork before your first session is scheduled.

What is your cancellation policy?

Any appointments that are rescheduled or cancelled less than 48 hours will be charged the full session rate, unless we are able to reschedule within the same week. If you intend to reschedule your appointment, please be aware that I cannot guarantee another available time within the same week. For cancellation or reschedule requests please email me within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment.

The only exceptions for late cancellations are for emergencies (i.e., death or birth in the family, an accident) or serious illnesses or injuries of yourself or someone you care for. Work related conflicts will not be exceptions to this policy, unless you are a provider of live-birth or end-of-life care. This policy is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you. Fees incurred on same day cancellations may be waived in the event of an emergency on a case-by-case basis.

Can you provide documentation for clients to submit to their insurance for gender-affirming care?

Yes, I am able to provide a letter with my diagnostic assessment for clients who require documentation from a mental health provider in order to obtain gender-affirming care.

Are you a mandated reporter?

Yes, I am a mandated reporter. I am under legal obligation to report any suspicion of child or elder abuse.

It is possible that a therapist can be court ordered to share information about a client. The court order must be signed by a judge. In those cases, therapists can work with a client’s attorney and the judge to determine what should be shared and what can be protected.
